Known for it’s natural beauty Bear Mountain Rustic Campground is a family owned and operated private campground, located 1400 feet in elevation in beautiful Alexandria NH. There are spectacular sunsets and magnificent views of Mt. Cardigan with it’s many hiking trails for exploring. It is the highest peak in the Lakes Region. We are located a few minutes from Wellington State Park on Newfound Lake, (one of the clearest and cleanest lakes in New Hampshire).The State Park is open from dawn to dusk with a small fee for swimming, picnicking, boating and fishing.
To keep prices affordable and the campground rustic, we offer limited amenities. Check out our “reservation page”. Due to parking space only one vehicle per camp site. Extra vehicles must park in the parking lot. For your enjoyment there is an abundance of recreation and activities around the area. This is the place to get away from it all!
